About The Cork Club
The Cork Club started with a simple idea: wine is better when it brings people together.
Our first tastings were small monthly evenings in Battersea, created for young Londoners who wanted to learn more about wine without sitting through a lecture - and meet new people while they did it.
That original idea still shapes everything we do today.
We believe the best way to learn about wine is to taste, compare and discover for yourself. And we believe a great wine experience should leave you remembering the people, conversations and moments around the room just as much as the bottles.
Today, that philosophy runs through our London social clubs and the bespoke experiences we create for corporate events, private celebrations and brand partners.
Polly Halstead
Founder
Polly founded The Cork Club in 2024, building on a love of wine and bringing people together that began while running the University of Edinburgh Wine Society.
She leads the creative and commercial direction of The Cork Club, developing its events, partnerships and collaborations across the social club, corporate and private experiences.
Her work has been recognised by Harpers Wine & Spirit’s 30 Under 30 and the IWSC Emerging Talent in Wine Communication awards.

Tom Liddington (DipWSET)
Wine Educator & Host
Tom holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma in wines and works professionally as a wine educator.
He brings the wine expertise behind The Cork Club’s tastings - helping shape our wine selections and sharing his knowledge in a way that is engaging, accessible and never pretentious.
Favourite grape variety: Chardonnay
